Surgical Services – Sterile Processing Tech

Schedule

6 AM - 6:30 PM, Friday, Saturday, Sunday with scheduled rotating weekends and occasional scheduled holidays.

Assignment Details

Position requires experienced candidates with a focus on high-volume surgical services.

Requirements

• Experience in decontamination of all items including drills, scopes, and surgical instruments.
• Assembly of all instruments across multiple service lines including trauma and loaners.
• Proficiency in sterilization processes, including sterrad and steam methods.
• Experience with high-level disinfection and scope processing.
• Familiarity with sterile storage practices.
• Experience as an OR liaison.
• Knowledge of Censitrac tracking system.
• Medivator experience required.
• Certification from CBSPD or CRCST through HSPA (formerly IAHCSMM).

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper decontamination of surgical instruments and equipment.
• Accurately assemble and prepare instruments for surgery in accordance with protocols.
• Execute sterilization processes effectively to maintain safety standards.
• Maintain inventory and organization of sterile storage.
• Collaborate with surgical teams as an OR liaison to facilitate efficient operations.
• Utilize Censitrac and Medivator systems for tracking and processing equipment.
