Sterile Processing Technician

Schedule

12pm - 8:30pm, with call/lates and weekend requirements (1 need)
3pm - 11pm, with call/lates and weekend requirements (2 needs)

Assignment Details

Contract length and guaranteed hours/week details will be provided.

Requirements

• 2 years of Central Sterile/Sterile Processing experience
• Must have prior travel experience
• CBSPD or HSPA certification (Required)
• BLS certification (Required)

Responsibilities

• Cleans and decontaminates surgical instruments and other medical equipment following manufacturer's Instructions For Use (IFU).
• Inspects, assembles, packages, and sterilizes medical devices following manufacturer’s IFUs.
• Operates automated washers, ultrasonic, cart washers, and sterilizers according to manufacturer’s IFUs.
• Inspects surgical instrumentation during tray assembly to ensure proper functioning and cleanliness.
• Pulls surgical case carts for add-ons and/or emergency cases.
• Effectively communicates with other staff members to facilitate all instrument and supply needs in a timely manner.
• Completes daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning of all areas of the department, signing off on cleaning logs and product out-dates.
• Other duties may be assigned as necessary to facilitate the functions of the department.
