Sterile Processing Tech

Schedule

Night shift, 5 days a week, from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with rotating weekends and occasional scheduled holidays.

Assignment Details

This position requires an experienced traveler to work in a busy healthcare environment.

Requirements

  • Experience with decontamination of items including drills, scopes, and instruments.
  • Proficiency in assembling all instruments across various service lines.
  • Familiarity with sterilization processes, specifically STERRAD and steam.
  • Knowledge of high-level disinfection and scope handling.
  • Experience with sterile storage practices.
  • Past experience working as an OR liaison.
  • Familiarity with the Censitrac tracking system.
  • Medivator experience is required.
  • Certification from either CBSPD or CRCST through HSPA is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure effective decontamination and sterilization of surgical instruments.
  • Maintain sterile storage and organization of medical supplies.
  • Assist in the assembly and preparation of instruments for surgical procedures.
  • Act as a liaison between the operating room and sterile processing department.
  • Utilize tracking systems to monitor instrument processing and availability.
  • Adhere to all safety and compliance regulations within the department.
