Requirements

• High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required
• Sterile Processing Technician certification: Required
• At least two years recent experience in field: Required
• Current BLS certification: Required

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate and process instruments, including compiling instrument sets and recording counts.
• Sterilize instruments and trays with appropriate exposure and dry times.
• Maintain a clean and orderly environment in the department.
• Assist with room turnover and terminal cleaning if necessary.
• Evaluate instruments for function and safety when reprocessing.
• Provide technical services and assist in various departments as assigned.
