Schedule

Day shift, 5x8 hours (08:00 - 16:30). Every other weekend required.

Assignment Details

Contract length and guaranteed hours to be discussed upon application.

Requirements

• Minimum experience of 3 years in a sterile processing department.
• Certifications: CBSPD and IAHCSMM/HSPA preferred.
• Experience with flexible cystoscopes and SPD sterilization equipment including Steris steam sterilizers, Stryker VP4 machines, and sterilization/decontamination equipment.
• Must be able to serve as a preceptor for peers and new employees.
• Bioburden error rate of 0.1% or less expected monthly; tray average of 20 per day.
• Experience in a busy surgical environment with a variety of specialties including General, GYN, Cardiovascular, and Orthopedics.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process surgical instruments and trays for procedures.
• Ensure proper sterilization and maintenance of sterilization equipment.
• Conduct quality checks and maintain compliance with safety standards.
• Assist in training and orienting new staff members.
