Surgical Technologist – Surgical Technology

Schedule

Monday - Friday; 7:00am - 3:30pm; hours may vary; additional hours vary depending on case load

Assignment Details

Minimum Years of Experience: 2

Requirements

• Graduation from a Surgical Technologist training program or a minimum of one year of experience in OR scrub nursing
• Current BLS certification
• Certification as a Central Supply Technician is a plus
• Knowledge of medical asepsis and surgical procedures
• Ability to work with surgical instruments and supplies effectively
• Willingness to expand knowledge of surgical technology

Responsibilities

• Select and prepare surgical instruments as needed for procedures
• Assist in maintaining a sterile environment during surgeries
• Handle instruments and assure their proper functionality
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to minimize delays
• Assist in training and orientation of new personnel
• Ensure proper sterilization and maintenance of surgical instruments
• Record sterilization tests and manage supplies
