Job Description
The Sterile Processing Technician will be responsible for ensuring a sterile environment and processing sterile instruments and equipment for medical procedures. This role involves adhering to safety protocols, collaborating with surgical teams, and maintaining accurate records of sterilization processes.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the sterile processing department.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Document sterilization processes and maintain inventory of supplies.
- Assist in training new staff members on sterilization protocols.
Required Experience
- Experience in sterile processing or related field.
- Knowledge of sterilization techniques and safety protocols.
Certifications/Licensure
- Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician is preferred.
- Current licenses and certifications as required by the state.
