Sterile Processing Technician

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift (5x8-Hour), 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM; holiday rotation and rotating weekends required.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a commitment to high-quality care and maintain a sterile environment in the facility. Responsibilities include sterilization, decontamination, assembly, and wrapping of surgical instruments and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform sterilization and decontamination of surgical instruments.
• Assemble and wrap surgical trays and sets to ensure readiness for use.
• Maintain compliance with safety and quality standards in sterilization processes.
• Monitor and document sterilization processes and perform testing as needed.
• Occasionally float to assist sister facilities as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in sterile processing.
• Experience with sterilization, decontamination, and assembly/wrapping.
• National certification (CBSPD and/or HSPA) is required.
• Experience in Level 1 Trauma Center preferred.
