This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

5x8 schedule, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday through Friday with holiday rotation. Weekend rotation may be required.

Job Description

The Sterile Processing Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and functionality of medical instruments. This position involves the sterilization, decontamination, and assembly/wrapping of surgical instruments and equipment. You will be responsible for maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards, supporting the clinical staff with the necessary instruments for various surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform sterilization, decontamination, assembly, and wrapping of surgical instruments.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Assist in maintaining an organized and efficient sterile supply area.
  • Document and monitor sterilization processes and equipment.
  • Float within scope of practice to meet facility needs as required.

Required Experience

  • Two years of experience in sterile processing, including sterilization, decontamination, and assembly/wrapping.
  • Level I Trauma experience required.

Certifications/Licensure

  • Must have CBSPD and/or HSPA certification.
  • BLS certification is not required.
