Sterile Processing Technician

We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician to join our team for an upcoming contract. This position will involve working in a dynamic healthcare environment where you will be responsible for the preparation, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the proper cleaning and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and ensure compliance with safety and health regulations.
• Monitor inventory levels of surgical supplies and instruments.
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals to meet institutional standards.
• Participate in quality assurance activities and handle any discrepancies appropriately.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in sterile processing, with a preference for 5+ years.
• Certification from HSPA or CBSPD is required.
• Strong knowledge of sterilization techniques and equipment.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and communicate effectively.
• Must be able to adhere to safety protocols and demonstrate attention to detail.

Additional Information:

• Schedule: Evening shifts from 15:00 to 23:30.
• Rotating weekends required, averaging one weekend day per month.
• Holiday rotation may be required.
• Floating to different areas may be requested on a rare basis.
• Orientation is scheduled for Monday, with an 8-hour day shift (non-billable).
• This contract is expected to last for 16 weeks.
